Why Flemish dairy?
This herd forms the basis of a wide variety of Belgian and Flemish dairy specialties, ranging from milk, butter and cheese to milk powder and dairy desserts.
Since 2006, 53% more milk has been processed, accounting for a total volume of 4.7 billion litres by 2022.
In 2022, the total export of dairy products. Of these, 70% are sold within the EU-27 and as much as 30% are sold within third countries, with the UK, Indonesia, Algeria and China leading the way.
